Bridal portraits are generally taken about four to six weeks before the wedding.
This allows sufficient time to receive finished prints before the wedding day. Bridal
portraits can be taken closer to the wedding day if the delivery of finished prints is
not time critical.
I create all my bridal portraits on location. My preferred locations are Myriad Gardens, Will Rogers Park,
Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie and the State Capitol. Don't feel limited to these selections - if you
have a specific look or a special place let me know. I have done bridal portraits in backyards, the library at OU,
using cityscapes and I have even traveled to Dallas.
If I am photographing the wedding, there is no charge for the bridal portrait session.
If I am not photographing the wedding, there is a $75 charge ($125 for weekends) for the bridal session. All
bridal sessions have a $195 minimum order.
Elegance and grace. All the beauty of the bride in full attire set in a beautiful
scene. But there is more here than just a beautiful portrait.
The bridal portrait is the dress rehearsal. It provides the bride with very
objective feedback about everything - from hair and makeup to how the shoes fit.
Plus, the exercise of gathering all the pieces together, going to another location
and putting them on is a great simulation of the wedding day. Brides that
participate in a bridal portrait session are always better prepared on the wedding day.
